Let's start off with a quote from Matisse.

Don't wait for inspiration, it comes while working - Henri Matisse

Welcome to Coffeeright’s blog.  We’re currently trying to get to the bottom of exactly what it will be.  What we do know is that it should inform the creator community.

So, we started with one of those glib quotes from an historical figure. (We know that’s what you're thinking).  In our defense, we believe wholeheartedly that Henri Matisse’s statement is the essence of being a creator:

Simply Go Create!

But wait… here's another reason the quote isn't glib:  The background art is not by Matisse.  It was created in a 6th grade art class in 2016, by an 11 year old named Lily.  Lily produced something inspired by someone else’s genius.  We were inspired enough by Lily’s work to use it to illustrate our very first post.  And shock… We didn’t ask her permission as we’re not sure where or who she is.  (Lily, if you happen to find this, please reach out.  And if you’d like us to remove your beautiful art, we certainly will).

Side note:  We did try to use an AI generated Matisse style background to raise another huge topic, but none of us thought the results were any good.

OK, that has sufficiently provoked a couple of areas of discussion that prove that there’s a need for a meaningful blog for creators -  Much to unwrap…

Here’s another great quote on creating to throw on the pile: “Inspiration is for amateurs, the rest of us just show up and get to work” – Chuck Close.
